strike on 5-7-2011 is like another freedom struggle to employees serving in Department of Posts.
on 26-11-1927 a commission was announced by British Government under the chairmanship of Sir John Simon to study constitutional reform in India.There was no Indian in the commission. There was huge resistance towards this commission and the the people of India echoed "Go Simon Go Simon".
In Department of Posts a consultant was appointed namely McKinney to reform the department .But,the reforms suggested by it are retrograde and hence the employees of the department are echoing "Go McKinney Go McKinney"
