Even though supreme Court ordered for issue of charge sheet within three months to the delinquent officials who are under suspension they are not being implemented in true spirit .The suspension cases are being protracted for months even in some cases years .As suspension is not a punishment the prolonged suspensions not only affecting the suspended officials and their families but also the department due to shortage of staff.If the disciplinary proceedings take a longer time the official may be transferred temporarily to another station.
